Catching ZZZ's

Carter is well known for his creative sleeping habits. For about a week or so he decided that it'd be fun to sleep with part of his body sandwhiched between his bumper pad and his crib railing. While some people would find this scene alarming, we found it cute and very Carter-like. No worries...no small children were harmed in the taking of this picture.

Here's Carter's most famous sleeping pose. He loves to spoon his bumper pad. We're starting to notice a little dip in his mattress because he always sleeps in the exact same pose.

A Quick Trip To Oklahoma

The day after Christmas we left for Oklahoma so that Carter could meet his Aunt Misty, Uncle Rocky and their foster kids (Burgundy, Brandon and Lori). Carter was an excellent back seat rider and only used his toy sirens when Pawpaw wasn't driving correctly.

A Carter Christmas

Carter really enjoyed his first Christmas. He didn't really care much for the boxes, paper or bows, but he sure loved the actual gifts themselves (even the clothes!).

Here are the three of us just before church on Christmas morning. It's a bit of a blurry picture, but that's what happens when don't crop from the original file.

A Boy and His Doggies

Carter gets along really well with Fippy and Fudge. Fippy does get a wee bit jealous of him at times, but in the end she really seems to like him. She also likes eating what food doesn't make it into his mouth and stay there. She's the clean up crew. Fudge is very protective of Carter so far. She loves to sit near him and watch over him when people she doesn't know hold him. She's definitely Carter's muscle.
