Carter Meets Elmo

Last weekend we took Carter to his very first Sesame Street Live show at the RSEC in Murray. Both Mason and I were avid SSL fans as children ourselves, so why not continue the tradition with Carter.

Here's Carter "meeting" Elmo for the first time. It was Mason's first time to meet him too since Elmo hasn't been around as long as Mason has.

I think Mason was awestruck.

Carter window shopping. Papaw gave him some money the day before so he was ready to spend spend spend.

Carter trying to impress a passerby, older female with his new manly purchase of a SSL pennant.

Carter running around waving his new purchase around.

Waiting for the show to start.

Carter and me digging into the cotton candy. Yummo! Carter loved it and he didn't make much of a mess at all!

The Toddler Years

Since Carter's officially a toddler now, I thought the title would be fitting. Here is a random assortment of pictures of my baby-toddler.

Happy Birthday Captain Carter!

Carter's birthday was officially July 23, but his party was on the 26th. Here are a few pictures from his party. I'm hoping to add more later and also a post about his actual birthday.

Wild Animals Invade Michigan Zoo!

Yep, that's right. Wild animals (also known as Kayla, Kourtney, Carter and Mason) invaded the zoo at Battle Creek, Michigan on Monday. Here the wild animals are seen attacking a harmless ant.

Carter was so excited to be at the zoo for the first time.

Carter feeding the giraffes.

Wild animals on the loose. They may look harmless, but trust me they aren't!

Carter's favorite animals were fowl from Africa. He went crazy to get a closer look at them.

Carter's first carousel ride. He looks like a pro doesn't he?

Carter's second carousel ride. I think he wanted to show Daddy how much fun the carousel is.

After a long day at the zoo the wild animal was finally tranquilized. He slept soundly for quite some time and the real animals finally felt safe again.

Our Trip to the Land of Great Lakes

We went to Michigan to see Great Grandma and Great Grandpa along with my uncle, aunts and cousins over Memorial Day weekend. We hadn't been to Michigan to see them since I was six weeks old (last Labor Day). This time Daddy didn't try to pack me in the suitcase. My cousins Kayla and Kourtney (now affectionately known as Ethel and Mertel) went with us so this time.

Here I am watching tv with Great Grandpa. Uncle Alan has one of those nice 50 inch lcd tv's that I keep telling Pawpaw that I want, but he still isn't listening. It was great watching tv on it!

Here I am with Great Grandma. She thought I was super cute, and rightly so. I mean, look at me. Who could think otherwise?

I'm showing Great Grandma how to use her walker properly. I'm a pro at using walking aides, so I thought I'd show her how it's done.

Here I am with Great Grandpa again. Maybe I get my hairline from him...

Here's the whole lot of us. Daddy, Great Grandpa, Me, Kourtney, Mommy, Great Grandma and Kayla.
